ADOPT A DOLPHIN |
||
Symbolic campaigns to adopt animals serve to raise awareness about their situation and that of the environment in which they live. Of the cetacean species that inhabit or visit the Galician coast, bottlenose dolphins (our beloved "arroaces", as they are called in Galician) are the ones that we know best and is the easiest species to monitor throughout the year, and that is why this is the species that we chose for this initiative. Your adoption will help the ordinary monitoring of the bottlenose dolphins groups that CEMMA carries out on the Galician coast. The investigation of marine species and the maintenance of vehicles, boats and facilities entails great expenses. If you want to collaborate with CEMMA's activities without having to be associated, this is one way to do it. Thanks to it you will be helping us in the conservation of endangered species such as the bottlenose dolphin and the Iberian harbour porpoise, and in the dissemination of our natural heritage. At the bottom you can chose some of the 350 bottlenose dolphins that we have right now cataloged in Galicia, they are some of the most easily identifiable by the marks they have on their dorsal fin. - Adoption cost is 35€/year. - You have also the possibility of putting the name of your choice to an individual, which will be the one that we will use in our catalogue and reports, for € 120 (one-time payment). You will receive a certificate with a photo of the chosen dolphin, information on each time it is sighted, a poster about the species (anatomy, osteology, reproduction, diet, ...) and a guide to the cetacean species in Galicia. CEMMA was declared as a Public Utility entity, and therefore is beneficiary of patronage activity, so with your donation you can benefit from the corresponding tax advantages. For any questions you can write to cemmaorganizacion@gmail.com. |
